Johns Hopkins University Files Preliminary Designs for Newseum Building Renovations
NBC Washington reports on the filing of preliminary design plans for the renovation of 555 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, currently the home the Newseum. Johns Hopkins University has acquired the former museum to be converted to a new home in the District of Columbia. SmithGroup's higher education experts are programming and designing the transformation of the museum interiors into state-of-the-art academic spaces to support the university's interdisciplinary programs in the nation's capital. Ennead Architects is revisiting their original museum design to adapt the iconic facade to serve as a new dynamic presence for Johns Hopkins.
