Brian Kenworthy

Brian was drawn to myriad careers as a kid—astronaut, athlete, policeman, teacher, scientist—and “architecture has allowed me to be each of those things in some way,” he remarks. “Every project invites me into a new world. I get to walk in someone else’s shoes, understand their daily rhythms, and discover how to best craft spaces for them.” For Brian, architecture is at its best when it’s collaborative—a team sport where every player helps shape the outcome. Throughout his career, he has cultivated environments where creativity flourishes and people grow. He takes pride in empowering others, believing that building great architects is just as vital as creating exceptional buildings. Travel is another source of inspiration for Brian—a way to recharge his design batteries and broaden his perspective. “It’s energizing and healthy to step outside our bubbles, to learn from diverse ideas, people, and places.” That might mean exploring the Venice Biennale of Architecture or cheering on his beloved Liverpool Football Club at his local pub. Wherever he goes, Brian seeks experiences that spark imagination and fuel his passion for design.
