Jennifer Plagens

“I have been a creative my whole life," says Jennifer. "I was always able to visualize how spaces and people interact with one another, and how powerful that interaction can be.”  Her experience with perceiving patients’ fearfulness within a healthcare setting is what led Jennifer to her career. “I realized I would have the ability to dispel and redirect anxiety through creative design solutions,” she recalls.  “I love working in the healthcare environment, where design can have such a positive physical and mental impact on the care journey. Compassion and Empathy have always been a true inspiration in my designs.” Jennifer also appreciates that she can have a positive impact on the planet through mindful selection of sustainable materials and jokes she would crush a quiz show category on “Name that Finish Material.” Even more unique is her knowledge of tropical birds—she keeps toucans as pets!
