Craig Passey

With over 30 years of experience focused on the design and delivery of large-scale complex healthcare projects, Craig leads the Health Studio Leader in SmithGroup’s Phoenix office. Regulatory requirements don’t often elicit enthusiasm, but they do for Craig. Healthcare projects are his favorite—“hands down,” he notes. “They’re so complex with stringent regulatory requirements, and the result of our efforts have an incredible impact on the individuals and communities they serve.” An important part of his role, says Craig, is “developing genuine and healthy relationships with both internal and external clients.” Valuing relationships may be why Craig is so drawn to the film Cinema Paradiso. “It’s an amazing story about a filmmaker recalling his childhood and the role his friendship with the cinema projectionist in a small Italian town had in shaping him as a person,” Craig explains. “It’s a great reminder of the impact we can have on others.”
