“As our world changes rapidly, there is a need for interdisciplinary thinking to re-imagine connectivity, mobility, identity and equity in our cities,” suggests Georgia who is originally from South Africa and has led urban design and planning projects around the globe. “I cross-fertilize ideas from diverse contexts to solve challenges in cities and campus environments.” Georgia says she’s eager for any opportunity to explore different cultures. “Whether it be camping in rural Malawi, walking in small towns in South India or biking along canals in Amsterdam, it offers a fresh perspective on the human experience.” Free time for Georgia is well-spent visiting galleries and museums. “Art inspires me,” she exclaims. “Abstract expressionist and minimalist art can distill the complex visual world around us to its powerful essence—line, color, form and light.”
