Jerry Misiolek

Building exteriors are Jerry’s area of expertise, with more than three decades of experience as a contractor and specialist in facade restoration. He provides valuable technical skills regarding waterproofing and masonry; his work includes design, repair, restoration, failure analysis and dispute resolution services. Jerry also helps develop and maintain SmithGroup’s master specifications. Active in several professional associations, Jerry is currently chairman of the Michigan Masonry Advisory Board. "One day we may be analyzing a new product and the next we may be determining how or why a building deteriorated," notes Jerry. His work has included major corporate and government facilities, yet he took particular pride in the restoration work on a cathedral. "Because the repair was funded through donations, it was as if each parishioner was a client. Their interest was personal." One thing you don’t know about Jerry? He "dabbles in" and drives race cars.
