Lauren Leighty

Lauren leads the Campus Planning Studio nationally and is an integral member of the firm’s leadership team for campus planning and higher education. As a landscape architect and urban designer, Lauren focuses her talents on solving the multilayered challenges faced by colleges and universities. "I began my career as a landscape architect focused on detailed design solutions for site-specific projects," she explains. "Urban design allows me to combine my technical understanding of the physical environment with my desire to think at a higher altitude about problems affecting campuses and their surrounding communities." Her formal training and wide range of project experience across the country has given her the ability to comprehend a project from its larger, regional context down to a detailed implementation level. Lauren describes herself as "a self-proclaimed art museum junkie. I am incredibly inspired by all forms of fine art and am working toward seeing all the best art museums in the world."
