Patrick Jones

Patrick leads SmithGroup’s Science & Technology Studio in Texas.  With over 20 years of professional experience, a majority focused on laboratory facility design, he has been a part of many complex and unique research projects. "I get excited about the potential impacts each design may have in supporting life-changing research that impacts us all, says Patrick. “One of the greatest values architects can bring is being a great listener. The clients we work with are experts in their specific areas of focus. To not engage them in the discussions would be such a mistake." As an ultimate team player, Patrick knows a successful project is not based on the performance of any individual alone, but by the efforts of those individuals as part of one team.  Keeping this perspective, along with his two children, keeps Patrick grounded and inspired to design a better future.
