Sara Urizar Website Headshot Cultural

You don’t have to convince Sara of the value of cultural institutions—she is active in the museum and cultural community on a local and national level, serving on the boards of several organizations. “Museums collect and preserve our cultural heritage, spark curiosity, and inspire creativity,” she suggests. “They also provide a place where people of all backgrounds can come together and share experiences.” Sara intended to become an environmental lawyer when she found her way into construction management and a temporary consulting project at the Art Institute of Chicago. “I never dreamed it would completely change my career trajectory,” she notes. “I found my true passion.” Sara is also passionate about cooking. She maintains a cooking journal and imagines a trip to Tuscany, where “I’d spend a week with the best regional chefs, watching them cook and taste-testing!”
