Terin suggests that there is rarely a clear path forward at the outset of a design project. “Great design is only enabled through a deep understanding of our clients’ priorities and desires,” he says. “I approach all of my projects with genuine curiosity and an empathetic attitude, with the ultimate goal of authentic problem-solving and honest design.” Terin finds architecture to be a perfect balance of his passion for great design and his desire to understand how things work. Mid-20th-century Teutonic influences have long been a source of inspiration, from the timeless industrial designs of Dieter Rams and the Mies van der Rohe Farnsworth House, to Terin's favorite city of Berlin. "It's so full of creativity and culture that I find it impossible to leave uninspired," he says.
