“I enjoy the challenge of creating special outdoor places, which can have a positive impact on work performance as well as on physical and mental well-being,” says Clare. She gets to do just that as a landscape architect in the Ann Arbor office, working on corporate and university campus projects. Clare admires the style of the mid-20th century. “The overall design aesthetic, from cars to fashion to furniture, was full of risk-taking and innovation,” she notes. Clare also was recently captivated by a film set in the same era. “The Green Book was inspiring because it reminds us all that friendship and personal connections can happen with those you may not expect,” she remarks. “We can all find some commonality.”
